AAdvantage email about expiring miles - anyone else?

Has anyone else recently received an email from AA (AAdvantage Program) stating (erroneously in my case) that my miles are going to expire in 30 days unless they have activity?

I've had activity 9 months ago, 6 months ago, 3, 2, and 1 months ago (redemptions, earnings, etc.)
What's weird is that the email is from:
[email protected] (I've checked the MIME headers and everything looks legit there, with IP of 208.49.63.57 which does correspond to SMTP for AA). All the links go to https://www.aa.com

But it has the wrong AA # on it (it'll show the first 3 characters and then ****). Now, is it possible this is the really really really (like 10 years ago?) AAdvantage account I had that Citi created with a credit card app (I had them merged, but don't recall the old/bad account)? Sure. But even then, there's no miles in the old account when the merge happened.

So I don't know if this is a mess-up on AA's part (I've gotten screwed up email from Hilton for example, where their computers say "hello Amy" but everything else is my correct info).
