But not sure if Avis would fine the driver for not keeping it for say 5 nights.
Package booking aside - returning a car early / checking out of a hotel early
can sometimes occur additional charges, as the booking gets repriced, and sometimes a shorter booking may actualy be more expensive than a longer booking. Almost unheard of for this to actually happen, but some T&Cs allow it.
But Avis don't need to "fine" the driver - they just need to complain to BA - and double tier points gone (assuming BA actually enforce the new T&Cs).
