I could be much more easily induced to fly into SLC than TPA, or even SMF.

The relevant calculation is more heavily weighted toward how many additional passengers might pass through an airport by opening a United Club there, not necessarily how many already use it.

United Airlines is in business to make a profit. Social services are not the first priority.
