Data point. Have a flight on 7/14 IST-MNL operated by the a350. It is currently showing the 8 row configuration. EF is also showing 8 rows on some random dates I searched through January. It doesn't disprove your theory, but at least on this route they dont seem to being doing every flight as the SU version.
