AC will often cancel a flight in the system if substituting different equipment, and then run it under a different flight number. I doubt that these stats adjust for that.
Are you sure that no other airline does the same, so the stats aren't comparable? If you can provide evidence that only AC does this, I would at least listen.
I can agree with some arguments, that AC offers me something other domestics don't, but I am still held hostage to that POTENTIAL. As a consumer living in an outpost, the delivered product continues to be a bait and switch. They don't let me book long layovers at my closest hub without making it a multi city booking as if I am trying to rip off the system and when things go wrong more often than not, I am offered less than I had deliberately planned for.
"Your regional flight was delayed through no fault of ours, but good news sir, we have rebooked you Seat 1A in the bulkhead row of a 321 when you specifically made a J reservation for a widebody lie flat." If you complain, we can offer you a 10% coupon off your next booking that we will cancel too. AND to be honest, I have given up trying to reclaim those coupons when they go south.
