Technically, Alaska does have business class. They changed their fare bucket designations to better align with Oneworld. But Alaska themselves still refer to the front cabin as first class. Clear as mud.
Also some years ago AA changed their fare bucket designations to better align with other Oneworld airlines. So many USA AA "first" class flights are now C J D fare (business) buckets, replacing real first class fare buckets.
