I am currently on DL 423 (ATL-SLC). I was originally scheduled on a later flight however swapped to this one due to weather therefore lost my pre-select meal option. I got the last seat open seat (5D) so when I boarded I politely asked the flight attendant since it was an odd numbered flight if she would be going back to front. She was extremely nice and friendly but told me that as of last year that FEBO was no longer and that she recently had been chewed out by a passenger because she followed FEBO yet shouldn't have.

So, can anyone confirm, is FEBO really a thing of the past? I may send DL a message and inquire myself but was curious of any others experiences with this.
