Review July 2023 -

Stayed here for 2 nights over the 4th of July because it was marked as Off Peak so 9k points cost.

For the Off Peak price of 9k per night I find it to be a good value for this property this is our 3rd stay with The Elms, the other two stays we’re prior to the Category upgrade to Category 3. I would not pay the 12,000 points though for a Standard or Peak stay at this property.

Overall the property is nice, the breakfast is good, the underground pool is nice, the property exterior is nice, the lobby is nice, the rooms are very dated but it’s supposed to add to its charm.

Since we stayed early week the Royal Lounge was closed.

A Globalist upgrade was provided however, we were not pre-upgraded as others note, it was upon request when we got to the desk, initially the agent was just going to give us the base room. We eventually got the upgrade to a Parlor Suite.

We didn’t happen to spot any ghosts on this visit.

The major downsides for us are the seclusion and the lack of on sight activities. I guess based on the signage there’s more activities Thursday to Sunday unfortunately our stay was Monday to Wednesday.

For being Off Peak it seemed very packed, however it feels like many people from the local area just “snuck in” to the pool area as we watched people leave the pool and just go to their cars and leave when done plus the outdoor pool area didn’t require a key or any proof of stay to enter.
