had a bad travel week last week...wife and I were in Vegas June 22-25...flight back home to YYZ on the 25th had multiple delays, and was eventually cancelled due to crew constraints.. Flew out the next morning and got home at about 6pm.

Then Wednesday we were going YYZ>EWR>ORF...arrived in Newark to find out our flight to Norfolk on United was cancelled. Got rebooked for FRIDAY...ended up having a cousin from Baltimore pick us up, and we grabbed a rental to drive from BWI to Norfolk.

Both trips were through Aeroplan, and it was the first time in years of travelling that we had such complications. Submitted a claim to Air Canada, and waiting to hear back. Wondering if I should go through my Amex insurace for the United flight for baggage and trip delay, or should I expect something from United? Anyone have any recommendations?
