Apologies for not getting the wine menu, but from recollection it was the same as my previous post. Decent ex-DOH meal. Soup was unremarkable, lobster thermidor was very good as was the dessert and the chicken makshool. The steak sandwich was disgusting and inedible, worse than the pandemic era sandwiches you’d find on AA. But the biggest thing to me is further catering issues on QR. I wanted an appetizer for both my main and my second meal, but FA asked (rather than insisted), if I could just have either the soup or an appetizer for the main meal (after serving me the soup, but tbh I wasn’t the hungriest so I obliged) , and then for the 2nd meal, asked if I could have the appetizer from the breakfast menu, which I declined. This whole pick a single item change is def detracting from QR’s promised “a la carte” menu. Honestly, they should just advertise meals as “dine anytime” with a few options to choose from, rather than the current set up since they obviously can’t execute what they promise (and what was the former QR J meal experience)
