Agree in general but in my opinion, the TAP agents in LIS are often very unfriendly and rude. Last week, I watched two of them forcing a man with a regular gym bag into checking it, even though he said it fits easily under the front seat.
When a legacy carrier introduces abstrusively expensive baggage fees, don't be surprised that passengers take full advantage of carry-on baggage limits.
The crazy thing is that Tap itself has not installed any larger overhead bins in the Neos like AA, LH or IB. Checked baggage fees and old small bins in brand new airplanes cannot be surpassed in idiocy.
