Dell trifecta plus!

I was able to score a great deal - I have been in the market for a new PC for the home office. I missed out on the Rakuten 15% rebate because the offer was terminated early but did manage to snag a 12% rebate.

Being able to split the purchase between three cards resulted in the following:

1) Biz plat - 10% rebate, one extra point per dollar spent and $200 rebate (the 10% rebate was credited for the full amount, not after the $200 rebate)

2) CS plat - $120 rebate on purchase of $599 or more plus one extra point per dollar spent

3) Van plat - $40 rebate on purchase of $200 plus one extra point per dollar spent

plus the 12% rakuten rebate

All the Amex credits posted within five days after the charges posted. The rakuten rebate took intervention on my part but once I reached out to Dell to look into the situation, it posted a few days later.

I had ordered the computer during the Memorial day sale and initially received a delivery date of July 3rd which concerned me since I wanted to use the $200 rebate during the first half of the year. However, I called them during the second week of June and they assured me it would be shipped before the end of the month - it shipped on June 20th.
