Eventually the flight was cancelled, and we got rebooked on b6 following day. I'm having hard time claiming UK261 BA keeps insisting on bad weather and thunderstorms. Should I just give up?
The listing at the time mentioned water in the Electrical and Equipment bay so it became a tech aircraft. They will wish to argue it out it seems and CWS mentions how to proceed. Ultimately there was a failure to comply with the ground handling manual for these situations of adverse weather. Should they have complied you might well have been cancelled due to crew hours or still just significantly delayed, but BA wouldn’t have been culpable as the weather was likely to cause significant water ingress into the rather large spill hazard zone on the 787.
