Although Saudi Arabia doesn't roll with accepting the greenback, I have to cavil a bit wrt your comment. There are a bunch of countries that regularly accept the dollar, or use it as the national currency. Cambodia, El Salvador, Panama, Ecuador, Venezuela, Zimbabwe I think, North Korea, Marshall Islands, Caribbean countries relying on cruise passengers, some Mexican cities/resorts, and others.
But no, I wouldn't try going to a Dammam supermarket with just a couple of Jacksons in my wallet.
