In the UK the Disasters and Emergency Committee will be later today launching a joint appeal on behalf of the major aid agencies in the UK. Donations can be made on-line at www.dec.org.uk or by phone on 0870 60 60 900

Remember if you are a UK tax payer to gift aid any donation so the government pays the tax to the appeal as well.
