UA already stated in their DL DOT opposition statement they’ll bid for HND-GUM and HND-IAH if given the opportunity. HND-GUM seems compelling on paper but doesn’t seem like a good use of a mainland US slot (maybe if a HNL-HND slot opens up it will make sense to give GUM a chance). HND-IAH is an awful idea considering it’s basically a forgone conclusion that if awarded to UA, they will immediately have NH move it’s IAH-HND flight elsewhere (which it has the full ability to do so unregulated) to better fit the UA-NH JV.
