You don't have to log into your account. Just make sure that your AAdvantage number is in the PNR.
And I assume that you mean "Main Cabin Extra" seats, not "Premium Economy." The latter is a separate class of service, not offered on the LGA-DSM route.
Be aware that even if there should be three MCE seats available at T-24, there might not be three together. But you can at least select three "Preferred" seats anytime after booking.
