I suspect this would have to go to the arbitrators, CEDR, because I think BA are going to hold on to the weather line. In reality it should be possible to operate aircraft when it is raining, and I suspect that BA didn't use all reasonable measures to keep to time. Or deploy another aircraft. But the thread above gives more guidance about this and how to proceed. So ask BA to confirm their answer won't change, and then go to CEDR.
