Thinking I’ll get the shuttle to drop me at B to clear security then take Sky Tran to C or E.
Does that make sense? I’ll be there around 0700 for a 1000 flight. Plan to kill time in the lounge.

As someone based at IAH, I categorize my patterns based on how I get to the terminal:
Please note that this is only what work for me. I never check luggage.
(1) Being Dropped Off or Picked Up | Select Terminal B | Usually, it's easier for the person dropping me off or picking me up to do so at Terminal B due to the construction at C/E
(2) Garage Parking My Own Vehicle | Select Terminal B | In this case, the parking situation at Terminal B is generally better than Terminal C unless I leave very early in the morning
(3) Outside Parking My Own Vehicle | Select Terminal for Departure | In this case, I just select the shuttle that's best for me
Overall, the security lines (for Pre-Check, Clear and Regular) are better at Terminal B, but not really at all bad at Terminal C.
