They won’t be able to intermix crews on the different AOCs. Back in the past the CAA permitted the BA Citiexpress and subsequent BA Connect cabin crews to operate the MAN-JFK-MAN using a LHR aircraft and flight crew. Those days are now behind us and the regulation is different in this respect, as is the CAA’s interpretation of it.

Dual basing is also no longer permitted, so this leaves the choice of closing down all LH from LGW (unlikely), or positioning entire crews down from LHR prior to operating.
