They agreed that it made no sense that a P class business fare got zero while a cheaper and less flexible "I" class got full Tier points and Avios. So they said leave it with me and if you don't get credit, call me. So of course I didn't get credit so called and was told to send in the boarding passes as proof of travel and we'll sort it. Famous last words, I've just had a response "it's a P class fare so you get nothing".

I don't understand - every other OneWorld Airline frequent Flyer Program gives credit for P class fares apart from BA (and maybe Iberia who have the worst airline website ever so impossible to find anything). If they didn't give credit for "I" class fares, there would at least be some logic to it, but to give credit on the lowest business fare but not on P is just illogical. It feels someone just dropped the ball and didn't update the program. Maybe there is more complex discussion between the airlines, but how every other OneWorld Airline has resolved it but the mighty BA hasn't just makes no sense. Or maybe it does make sense unfortunately with their ever declining standard of customer service.

Anyway I have asked for a call back to see if I can make some progress. Its a matter of principle now, as no justification for Exec club members to be treated differently than Finnair, Qantas, Qatar, American etc frequent flyers

By the way, does anyone know who runs the BA Exec Club now? Last time I had direct contact it was James Kelliher but I know he left a while back and can't find out who currently owns it!
Have you gotten anywhere with this? Find it unlikely, obviously, but have realized that my HKG-LHR next month is in P class.

Alternatively, has anyone had luck getting Cathay to re-ticket to a different (even I) fare class?
