Curious as to what the issue is.
I'm not sure if we are back to 2019 passenger traffic at the moment, but regardless, from what I see, (and as fares seem to corroborate):
- Increased tourist travel (Y fares higher than 2019)
- decreased business travel (Lots of deals on J destinations like I haven't seen in a while)
Should lounge lounge access be mostly Cabin and status; and J and business travel appears to be down..what is the root cause of congestion?
Perhaps rampant flight delays are causing the congestion?
Follow up. Found some data from here:
https://www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca/en/scr...passenger-data
Headers are: Daily traffic at 8 largest Canadian Airports 2023 -2022-2021-2020-2019.
Looks like we are close to 2019 traffic levels. What explains the congestion? I'm still suspecting delays & cancellations.
