There are a lot of LCC/Charter airlines in Egypt and they have to be avoided at all costs. MS is very far from being a good airline and are so-so in term of safety but they are clearly the best in Egypt (it means that the bar is low ).
PS : 2011 to 2016 is not what I would call recent, but that doesn't change what I wrote above.
