I've flown on one of BNSF's Gulfstreams.

For railroads, there's really no easy way to get to a lot of their big operational locations on airlines. Alliance and North Platte, Nebraska are a long, long ride from major population centers if you have to jumpseat in the cab of a freight locomotive!
