This is, unfortunately, one of the very few cases where something is very easy in the GDS and a huge time sink outside of it. In the GDS an availability search within the context of other flights takes the same amount of effort as a normal availability search.
If anyone knows an efficient way with more easily accessible tools (specifically for the cases where matrix is also less reliable) I'd be very interested in learning about it.
