But where Virgin really falls down is in its route network, with BA you can fly pretty much anywhere from London, Virgin is much more limited, so if you're a loyal Virgin customer, whenever you fly anywhere they don't (especially short haul routes), you can't benefit from your ff perks, unless you're flying to a Skyteam hub, or you connect through one.

Also on the topic of IATA codes, the code for Mumbai is BOM (as in Bombay), not MUM.
For me, flying to BOS VS have one flight a day VS11 plus a codeshare on Delta VS4011. The timing of their flight isn’t good for me as it departs just after 5pm which means an arrival time into BOS of around 8pm. That’s not much use for connections especially to the Islands, especially ACK and the ever present danger of fog there.
