If I understand correctly, Amazon allows you to automatically reload your gift card balance on a preset schedule. Are there other sites like this?
Why do I want a high transaction count? Well, I would like to get one of those high-interest checking accounts requiring a minimum count of debit transactions, but I don't think I can meet the transaction requirements organically. (One option is to use my friends and family to help, but I'd rather not.) I would like to try to put together a few automated monthly or weekly transactions with different sites to make it seem more organic.
How many transactions are you required to do in a month? Is there a minimum amount required?
Most of these accounts only require one to two purchases a week (8-10/month) and if you like coffee, McDonalds sells a cup for $1.
My point is that most of us have enough small time purchases to satiny the requirements of these types of accounts without putting your Amazon account at risk for dicey activity.
Finally, given the higher rates available on money market funds, are you really gaining anything by having such an account requiring your machinations to satisfy their Machiavellian demands to obtain the account's goodies??
Just asking
