I am trying to book a ORD-SGN, HKG-ORD trip in mid January on United.com--in Premium Economy. Coming back is easy HKG-SFO-ORD at reasonable times.

But ORD-SGN has wonky options. Many are super tight risky connections in West coast airports and HND/NRT. The final leg is also mostly on ANA. And with ANA it appears most of the plane options on the 787-8 do not have Premium Economy. Making even worse they have almost all aisle/window seats blocked in regular economy forcing me to a middle seat from HND/NRT-SGN.

Any suggestions? Should I book to some other location and tack on the final leg to SGN independently from UA.com? (I would like to maximize PQP)
