Seat selection on yet to be ticketed flight
Something I’ve experienced before but can’t remember if there is a way round it.
I’ve dropped down to Bronze for a few months but will be back up to Silver in October. I have a J booking to BGI for March next year, made through a travel agent. I would like to pay for seat selection – at least for the inbound overnight flight.
However – in ‘Manage My Flight’ the option for seat selection is showing as ‘Seat choices are only available at check in’. The travel agent advises that this issue exists because they have yet to ‘ticket’ the flight. I’ve had this happen before with a booking like this but cannot recall if/how I resolved it.
Any thoughts on this please ? And is the situation still likely to exist if it remains ‘un-ticketed’ when I bounce back to Silver again in October ? Thank you
