Your definition of “recently” is pretty loose… the Andaz West Hollywood opened ~15 years ago. Which also makes me wonder what you define as “in LA”…
If I had to guess only Hyatt owned properties would be the ones to sell them, if that, franchise locations have no incentive.
Not the case (eg the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, as mentioned by the OP).
Kind of hoping Hyatt runs a Gift Card promo the last one IIRC was in late 2020 for 10% off and I’m guessing people loaded up hard bc it’s been almost 3 years and they haven’t run one again!
I wonder if there were any other extenuating circumstances in
2020 that would make a travel focused company desperate enough to get cash flow that they’d offer a small discount on gift cards…
