I downgraded my United Club card to the Quest. It's a keeper card ($125/yr on United + the 5,000 award flight certs) and is basically insurance against me ever losing status. Also 25% back on inflight purchases (includes wifi).
That is the card I am considering, but I just paid my $525 annual fee on the Club card and if I downgrade to the Quest I give up getting the SUB for the Quest card. I may downgrade to the fee free card (I already get bags) and lounge with the JPM Reserve. With the downgrade to the fee free card I would get a pro-rata refund. The Quest is what I want to end up with but I don't want to give up the SUB of 70,000 points.
