I made it to 1M miles a couple of months ago and just got around to designating a companion. Doing that got me wondering how United will know when I am no longer alive to receive benefits. Will they ask me to send a photo of me holding a newspaper? Or can they just read my vitals from that chip I got when I received the COVID vaccine?
