I would rely on what aa.com says. HA is not a oneworld carrier; if it were, the answer could be different (depending on whether the particular fare basis is one which qualifies for earning miles).

I note that HA also flies HNL-TYO on its own metal, but you would not enjoy any AAdvantage status benefits when flying on HA.
