Nobody would choose to accept DCC if they were aware of the facts, but many people are unaware.
I have to say though, that I had a few problems with DCC in 2014-5, which is when the original posts in this thread were made, but since then I've never had a hotel try to DCC me.
At the risk of being lumped into the dumb category, I'm going to Canada soon - what do I say when I check out?
