Stayed here 1 night this week, and honestly it's fine. The property is finishing up a nice renovation. The rooms are gorgeous, I especially appreciate the use of "wood" flooring vs. carpet everywhere. Couple frustrations though. Checked in via app (as LTT), chatted and asked for a suite (there was half a dozen available an hour before I was checking in), was told "on list, based on availablity at check in". Go to check in, get an "in training" associate. Ask about a suite, am told no, but there's still half a dozen showing for sale.
It was a quick stay and I didn't care all that much, but was given room on 3rd floor looking at the roof, my colleague (LTP) checked in behind me, he was given a room on top floor with beautiful view. Now I cared a little bit. I chatted via the app again, and surprise surprise, all the suites disappeared about 5 minutes after this. Now it was on. I called them out on suite blocking, and that I'd like to have the rooms manager check for a suite again. "Somehow" they were able to find one. I was already gone for dinner, got back to get new keys, now they couldn't find the suite they had given me. After 10 min, the on-duty manager finally came out and sorted things out, but never offered any apology or even said a word to me. The suite they gave me was an executive suite at the end of the hallway and was beautifully renovated. Had 1.5 baths, wet bar, living room, and huge bedroom.
My colleague didn't end up getting a suite after asking, but the GM did call him and offer him 10k points, and did apologize and said they should not have declined the request that was made, and indeed they had them available.
As for the rest of the property, we didn't experience the M club for evening, but from my assessment (and breakfast in the morning), it would be a pretty good spread. 3-4 hot dishes, snacks, maybe some cold dishes. That's how breakfast in the M club was. Cocktails in the bar were very nicely made, if not a little expensive ($18 for a paper plane). The bar does get busy late into the night it seems as I was there til 11 and there were no signs of it slowing down. My team will be visiting the area about once a quarter, next time we'll check out the Ren just to compare, but otherwise I'd stay here again.
