Stayed here recently and mostly agree with what others have said. Nice hotel that still has a newish feel to it, Lounge wasn’t all that great in my opinion, food choices were not that appealing and it was always very crowded, It did have a great beer machine though where the glass fills from the bottom, that was by far the highlight. https://japantoday.com/category/feat...cups-with-beer

Good, solid breakfast and very comfortable room, however it is very loud, The Muzak playing in the lobby, elevators and hallways is way above background noise and tipped into the annoying volume level, I’m not sure I have ever stayed in a hotel that loud. Fortunately could not hear anything in the room. There’s an Indian restaurant next door that was pretty good if you want a break from Japanese food, but there are plenty of Japanese options around as well including an amazing Yakitori place on one of the side streets about half way to the Peace Park. For those who hate taxis like myself it’s a 20-25 minute walk from the train station, partly along the river or an easy bus ride. Overall a solid hotel and a great value for the cost.

Oh, and Mazda tour is back on, two English tours a day. I do not care at all about cars but had heard good things so gave it a shot. Getting to see the assembly line was actually fascinating and well worth the time.

Edit: Having just checked into my final hotel of this Japan trip which included a few Hyatts (Grand, Regency, Place), a Crowne Plaza and the Conrad Osaka I can confidently say that the Hilton Hiroshima had by far the best toilet of them all. It lifts its lid to attention when you walk into the washroom and auto flushes when you leave. A completely hands free experience is available.
