Obviously rates vary and you are correct that if there's a 50% difference then the LeM offers better value. But the critical difference is not in the alcohol which is marginally better quality wine at the Marriott. The key difference is the food. At LeM you get a one-course lunch and a three-course dinner. That's it. At the Marriott you can order whatever food you like at any restaurant all day long if you want - and they have more varied restaurants of better quality. Have three lunches. Have hot snacks all day. Quite like a Caribbean all inclusive. You can order burgers in the sportsbar, hot snacks in the lobby lounge, a multi-course lunch, and enjoy the full grill buffet in the evening. That's if you've not exploded by this point. I've stayed at both hotels this year and paid about 20% more at the Marriott. At this difference it's a no brainer to avail yourself of the food at the Marriott. At 50% difference, then yes. I'd go with LeM. As indeed I am doing at the end of July for three days.
