UA's long hauls have a "mid flight snack" service about halfway through the flight. In coach it is something along the lines of instant ramen and a cookie; in business and first it is the same ramen or a warm sandwich, along with a cart you can raid. On the cart are leftover Godiva chocolates from the meal service, M&Ms, dried fruit, fruit, and other regional snacks depending on where you're going/coming from.

I might add that the taste and consistency of both the ramen and the sandwich make it perfect for consumption in a complete stupor and when you just don't have any other choices. I have been known to bring my own ramen on occasion.
