There are pros and cons - the new seat is very smart and the IFE is a lot better and you can use it full time - whereas the older folding screens have to be stowed for takeoff and landing.
Conversely, the older suites allow for buddy dining - with the buddy sitting on the footstool (which has its own seatbelt) and sharing the table. That is quite a cool feature for a first time and I'm sure the crew will help make it special. For most comfort I think 1E/F have much better shoulder room for the buddy. And while you are dining together the crew will make up the bed in the other seat.
For the CCR, make sure to hang on to your F boarding pass as the onward domestic BP alone may not get you in.
