The flow of unlimited alcohol in SCs and airport restaurants doesn’t help. I’ve been seated more than once in the emergency exit row beside someone who doesn’t even know their own name. How the FAA allows this baffles me.
I can assure you a lot of people flying in the glamourous days of flying were absolutely hammered. This is entirely due to today's society thinking being an a-hole is some sort of positive in society (just look at who people vote for).
