I called American and the rep wasn't sure either and then she said it appears not to offer. I have to have a tablet or IPhone and only streaming is available and I have to pay for WI-FI. I don't have a tablet or IPhone I have an Android.
Is this how American treats customers today. I was going to book First Class for my husband and myself and she said it didn't matter I still have to pay. We are not tech savvy at all and don't get this streaming business plus I would have to buy 2 tablets.
Can anyone confirm is this is true. She didn't sound too positive.
Thank you for any information.
On all of AA's 737s there is no seat back entertainment, but there is a holder to hold your phone/tablet/etc.
You can connect to the wifi from any device (iPhone, Android, Laptop, etc) to use the onboard entertainment (movies, music, etc), as well as AA.com for free. It is only internet access to Youtube, etc, that is charged for. First class only gets a larger seat, extra baggage, boarding priority, it does not change the seatback entertainment (lack thereof) or wifi.
