I had a bag ripped from JFK to SFO. The tear was exactly where the pullout handle lays against the fabric. I was told it was normal wear and tear, but the agent was so rude about it that I asked to speak to a supervisor. I did and she said that she could not replace the bag but would give me a $150 voucher, which showed up about a week later.
