I have friends here in the US who are part of a large family that owns shopping malls and hotels including a number of Hilton franchises. They are worth several billion dollars and all fly economy on all business travel. This applies to the bosses as well as the more junior staff.
I had a investment client who told an "inspirational" story about how they bought a business for eight figures and the owner flew home in economy. Didn't last long at that place since that was what they wanted me to aspire to!
