and just upload the receipts. It's sometimes easier not to be logged into BAEC, and / or to upload the receipts as an amendment after the first submission. Any text keep very short / terse. You can assume BA knows the history from their side of the computer so there is no need to write it all out.
Is it usually a negotiation? I'm used to dealing with Turkish and Ethiopian (my primary carriers) where every claim has at least 3-4 back and forths like haggling in a bazaar! They aren't even BAEC members (claiming the miles to the QR family account) so no risk of being logged in. It's not an obscenely large huge amount in any case (should be less than $600 between the two of them for 2 weeks, mostly on formalish clothes for the wedding they were attending).
