There were three daily B747s in the 90s.
BA174
BA176
BA178
(+ BA002 and BA004 on Concorde)
then they added more frequency and the closest available flight nos were :
BA112
BA114
BA116
and latterly they moved the BA172 from JFK-LGW to LHR and then the BA182 was the old JFK-MAN flight no which was reactivated later at LHR when the MAN service went to BA CitiExpress (?) as BA1502.
