It might also be worth taking a look at options through western Europe if you can stomach a potential extra connection and/or have the time for a brief stopover. I recently booked a very reasonable KIX-ICN-AMS J award ticket for summer 2024 where I plan to stop over for a few days, then fly on a separate PE ticket for the relatively short CDG-USA leg (transiting AMS-CDG separately). It was much fewer miles than a Japan-USA direct flight. I haven't looked but I'd assume there's some TYO-CDG/AMS-USA flights available.
