If they post, they post. If they don't then that's probably OK too as most are freebies.
I do, however, religiously follow-up to make sure my paid flight miles post.
I do exactly the same thing, I check my flight activity as soon as possible after a flight...and we know that Delta is pretty much the best in the business on posting mileage for flights on their metal. I also don't follow up on promos, rental car miles, etc.
Of course, when you are a multi-billion SkyMile hoarder like Cholula, a few hundred miles here and there are trivial.
