I noticed this Sunday. Apparently that's what they're communicating to automated systems when there are two flights in the air with the same flight number.

23 minutes prior to departure DEN RAP, gate agent no where to be found, the plane and some crew are here and one announced they are short a pilot and a flight attendant. Online still shows on time. If this flight is canceled (as it was yesterday), what if any compensation should passengers request? It's weird it's so last minute and still looks ok online although clearly nothing is happening.
You can request anything you like, but UA isn't likely to provide any compensation for weather-related events, and the absence of your flight crew is likely due to weather.
