What a load of tosh!
I know it's a bit ranty, but I recently flew a short segment with SQ in J, and happened to notice just before landing that the IFE was faulty. I mentioned it to the crew that it didn't respond to a soft reset even. They insisted on holding me back at the gate so they could complete the paperwork to give me a SGB 100 voucher, even if I tried to explain it was not needed and I only wanted to let them know as a heads up to the next crew/pax.

Getting compensation from QR is not like that.
