Things have been bad on and off throughout June.

Two weeks ago, our plane (making a round trip between PHL and MCO) sat in PHL for 5 hours before taking off due to a combination of storms and backlogged traffic. We were in MCO and ended up taking a 6 AM flight the next morning (hotel paid by AA). Otherwise, we would not have arrived back home in PHL until 2:30 AM.

This past Friday, there were 30-minute delays taking off due to long pauses between departures. Our flight had to return to PHL due to a mechanical issue, so we sat through it twice. We barely made it out the second time before thunderstorms came in, which would have delayed us even more.
